FAQs
Here are a few of my favorite things (writing related):
Why Do I Write Romance: There’s nothing
that touches my heart and soul like two people who find a love
that completes them
Favorite Part of Writing Process: creating
snappy dialogue
Least Favorite Part of Writing Process: plotting...why
can’t my characters just sit on a bench and talk for three
hundred plus pages?
Typical Present Day (Juggling Day-Jobs with Dream Job of
Being a Full-time Writer and Running a Publishing Empire): Up
at 3 a.m. Coffee cup in hand by 3:07. Showered, dressed
and on my way to work at a major publisher’s returns center
by 4:30, while Sweet Man commands the county jail. Work until
2 p.m. then home. Have coffee, kiss and cuddle with Sweet
Man then crank out pages in my home office until Sweet Man has
dinner ready between 6 and 7 p.m. R & R until bedtime.
Typical Future Fantasy Fairytale Day (Once I’m a Full-time
Novelist): Up at 3 a.m. Coffee cup in hand
by 3:07. Showered, dressed and sitting in my office by 4:30
cranking out pages. Write and edit until noon. Break
for lunch with Sweet Man. Since he thinks he’s my boss
and it benefits me to let him think that, we then cuss and discuss
business matters (i.e. contracts, promotions, scheduling, answer
emails, etc.) until 2-ish. By 2:30, at the latest, work is
done for the day, and I’m showing Sweet Man who’s really
in charge.
Favorite Character I’ve Written: Aunt
Tulip (“Stompin’ on Stetsons”)
How Do I Get My Ideas: I’m always studying
people, although I’m not eavesdropping. It’s not
my fault people talk too loud in public places. I take bits
and pieces I observe, mix and match (...c’mon I was raised
in Granimals) and spin stories, letting my imagination have at
it!

What Qualities Do I Like in a Man: The
ways my Sweet Man always lets me know he loves me...whether that
be by spending way too long in Target or Hobby Lobby, listening
to me ramble for hours, cuddling with me, taking me to the movies
(we’re
talking chick flicks here), or telling me he loves me without prodding
or on any special occasion (just an out of the blue ‘I love
you’)
Best qualities (according to my Sweet Man): Smart,
loving, understanding, kind & beautiful.
Worst quality (according to my Sweet Man): None,
of course :)
Actual worst quality: Lack of patience
(Who has time for that?!)
Endearing qualities (yep...the Sweet Man again): Radiant
smile and innocent childlike naiveté..."Huh?!?!" Okay...so
sometimes I have to rely on him for the occasional common sense
snafu. Yeah...whatever...it just makes him feel important...every
woman should boost her man’s ego once in a while.
